Day 07 — A photo that makes you happy
One day, when Laura and I were about 17, we were driving around the middle of nowhere and came across this pretty field, and I decided I wanted to run through it, since it was a beautiful day, and my best friend and I were doing what we do best.
Day 06 — Whatever tickles your fancy
I can’t believe this was 10 months ago today!
Day 05 — Your favorite quote
“If you have a bookcase, the more you put on them, the more it builds up, the more it’s worth, the better it looks… With books, it looks beautiful, you can read it if you want, and it’s part of the ambience of a house, isn’t it? And it will go up in value. Shouldn’t every house have a bookcase? It’s just the pleasure of… Say you have somebody who’s never seen you before, and you take them in and say, ‘Here’s my library.’””
While I love and cherish many, many books, I do have a clear favorite. I have books I love, like Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah, and The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown - to name a few.
My all time favorite book?
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.
I honestly cannot say how many times I have read that book. I have multiple copies, but my original is taped together, high lighted, liner note-d, and extremely well loved. I try to read it about once a year, and Hinton succeeded to sweep me into the world of Ponyboy and Johnny just as well as she did when I was 13.
I have a habit of picking the book up if I run into one at a thrift store or a second hand book place. I’ve given it as presents. I’ve noticed that there is a phrase in my first copy that is omitted in every other version. I’ve threatened to break up with a boyfriend for not returning my book. And this post is most definitely going to make me grab the book and curl up and read it. Thanks Day 04!
Day Three - Favorite Television Show
Gilmore girls is my favorite. I think it has been since I first watched it, and the dozens of times after that. The characters are perfect, and I always thought it was neat when the show was on the air I was the same age as Rory, so I could relate!
I think I skipped a day already.
Hands down, my favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. It has been since I was 4.
Yes, I know the movie by heart.Yes, I know all the songs. Yes, I have a Sebastian the Crab collection. Yes, I own the sequels (awful!!). Yes, I’ve had more than one The Little Mermaid themed birthday cake in my younger years. Yes, Adam proposed to me shortly after seeing The Little Mermaid on Broadway.
